Case of the Month


October, 2000


Subjective:

The patient is a 34 y.o.female referred for maxillary reconstruction with bone grafting prior to implant placement.

Objective:

The patient had no known drug allergies, history of hospitalizations or operations. Oral examination revealed a Class II incisor relationship.There was a history of orthodontic treatment as a teenager. Panoramic radiographic findings revealed tooth # 31 had undergone root canal therapy. The patient had a mandibular removal partial denture. A fixed partial denture involved teeth #'s 11 - 13 - 15. Porcelain fused to metal crowns were noted on teeth #'s 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 22, 27, and 31. Alveolar ridge atrophy was noted in the right posterior maxilla.

Bone Flap rotated into Sinus

HA and PMCB in Sinus
