Subjective:
The patient is a 22 y.o. female referred to our office with a chief complaint of limited opening.
Objective:
Medical history revealed a well developed white 22 y.o. female, with no allergies or past operations.
Oral-Facial examination revealed a Class I malocclusion with deep vertical overbite. Left lateral excursive movement was limited to 1 mm. Maximum opening was 25 mm. No pain was associated with functional movements. Tomograms of the TMJ revealed limited translation of the right condylar head during opening. Enlargement of the medial aspect of the articular eminence was noted, as an osseous exophytic mass.
