Dr. Tucker is a 1968 graduate of Madisonville High School. During his high school career he was president of the M.H.S. chapter of The National Beta Club. Other club memberships included the Key Club and M Club. Graduating Cum Laude Dr. Tucker attended The World Affairs Institute on N.A.T.O. He was a three sports letterman in basketball, baseball, and track. In addition he received Kentucky High School Athletic Association All-State honors in baseball, and was team MVP. The Class of 68 selected him Mr. Maroon.
Murray State University awarded him with a baseball scholarship. Enrolled in the Pre - Dental curriculum majoring in biology and chemistry he made the Dean's List. He was granted the Liza Spann Health Professions Scholarship by the Murray State University Alumni Association. He was a three year letterman on the Ohio Valley Conference Championship M.S.U. baseball team being named co-captain in 1971. Having received early admission to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, Dr. Tucker gave up his baseball scholarship to pursue professional education.
